Rumour File: Rocks thrown at cars in random bizarre Strathmore attack

Fist-size rocks have been thrown at cars in Melbourne’s north.

Strathmore residents who saw the attack claim a bearded man in a red car drove slowly down their street and deliberately targeted their cars yesterday.

At least three cars were damaged.

Kate told Ross and John she and her husband were driving along Napier Street about 11.30am yesterday when the incident occurred.

“We heard a massive bang, and then the mirror was hanging off,” Kate said.

“We turned around and there was a massive rock, like one from the train tracks, in the middle of the road.”

But somewhat strangely, Kate says police claimed they couldn’t do anything and refused to even take her details.

“We drove to the police station and an officer came out and had a look at the damage and took the rock, and said, ‘We can’t do anything’.”

“He didn’t take our details.”
