Rumour File: Shannon Grant charged with assault, criminal damage

North Melbourne champion Shannon Grant is facing more than dozen charges relating to an alleged assault.

Grant has been slapped with 18 charges including assault and criminal damage, following the alleged incident at Highett in December.

The 1999 Norm Smith medallist has stepped down as coach at St Kevin’s Old Boys’, which he led to an A-grade premiership last year.

He has been bailed to appear at Moorabbin Magistrates’ Court on February 21.
