A 20-year-old umpire who fell during the third quarter of a local grand final on the weekend had her arm strapped before returning to finish the match, only to discover later she’s broken her arm.

Soldier On told the Rumour File about the umpire who had her wrist strapped after the fall, but quickly got back in the game and used her left arm instead.

Genevieve told Ross and John she was umpiring the Division 2 Reserves Grand Final in the Eastern Football League.

“Straight away I knew it was pretty sore, ran off with the trainer, got it strapped and came back on for the last quarter of the game,” she said.

Ross: That’s a pretty mighty effort!
