Rumour update: Four boys arrested after 16yo was assaulted, robbed in Hawthorn

Four teenagers have been arrested after an alleged mugging in Hawthorn.

It was yesterday reported on Ross and John’s Rumour File that four boys from a Melbourne private school had alleged been involved in an assault.

Police today confirmed four 16-year-olds were arrested on Friday, August 3 following an alleged incident in Hawthorn.

It is alleged the boys assaulted and robbed a 16-year-old of his jacket, shoes and cash on Roche Street about 10.30pm.

The accused boys, from Windsor, Sandringham, South Yarra and Armadale, were arrested a short time later.

They have been released pending further enquiries and the investigation is ongoing.
