Rumour update: The Dame Phyllis Frost duck

It’s alive!

Yesterday the Rumour File heard a duck was rescued by a prisoner at the Dame Phyllis Frost Centre, after it was being attacked by crows.

The caller said the duck didn’t make it and had to be euthanized.

But, good news, it’s actually alive and recovering!

Corrections Victoria told 3AW Breakfast prison staff contacted Wildlife Victoria, who came and picked up the duck from the prison gatehouse.

The duck has gone into wildlife care until it’s healthy, when it will be released back to the wild.

Fly free little duck!
