S Kidman & Co deal with China ‘exciting’ times

The $370.7 million agreement between S Kidman and Co and a Chinese buyer is ‘exciting’ for the country according to Adria Downs resident and rural legend David Brook.

Under the deal, the Chinese buyer will own 80% of the company.

Mr Brook is a neighbour S Kidman and Co’s property and it has been that way for 75 years.

‘Things change over time. I think it’s exciting times,’ he told Ross Greenwood.

‘A country of 1.4 billion people in the need for food security to be thinking of doing something like this. It’s probably what they should be doing.’
