‘Sabotage’: Greens to hunt and expel leakers in explosive Batman fallout
An internal review will be carried out by the Greens amid allegations of sobotage.
The minor party put in a major effort to snatch Batman in Melbourne’s north, but Labor’s star candidate Ged Kearney scored a come-from-behind victory over Alex Bathal.
Greens Leader Richard Di Natale claims Ms Bathal had been the victim of “destructive” leaks, which had turned voters off.
Mr Di Natale today told ABC TV the small number of members who sabotaged the party’s campaign would be caught and booted from the party.
“Those people who are found to be responsible for leaking and undermining our candidate need to be expelled,” he said.
