Big changes are coming to Airbnb’s and the entire short-term rental industry in Melbourne.

The city council last night voted to introduce an annual registration fee and a day-per-year cap per property from February, with the council proposing a cap of 180 days.

Lord Mayor Sally Capp told Neil Mitchell property owners should be the “heroes” in the housing crisis.
