Sally Capp shoots down ‘completely flattering’ rumour

Lord mayor Sally Capp has quashed rumours suggesting she could become Victoria’s next governor.

Governor Linda Dessau will finish up in the role mid-year and rumours that Ms Capp could replace her have been swirling.

But Councillor Capp says she knows nothing about it.

“I have not heard any rumours about me being the governor,” she said at a press conference this morning.

“That’s completely flattering to even be considered in the same realms as our wonderful Governor,” she said.
