Sally Faulkner charged over botched 60 Minutes kidnapping

The mother involved in 60 Minutes’ botched child recovery in Lebanon has been charged with kidnapping.

A Lebanese judge’s move to recommend charges against Sally Faulkner and the man who planned the bungled operation, Adam Whittington, has come unexpectedly.

The judge had previously said he did not believe a mother could be found to have kidnapped her own children.

The move comes with news the Channel 9 team involved, including journalist Tara Brown, will face a court imposed fine, after a trial most likely for a misdemeanour.
