Sam Docherty’s reaction to Cody Walker nominating Carlton as club of choice

It’s been a tough 2025 campaign for the Blues, but they’ve received some good news with father-son prospect Cody Walker nominating Carlton as his club of choice for the 2026 draft.

Walker is the son of Blues legend Andrew, who played 202 games for the club.

Current Carlton veteran Sam Docherty had the chance to play with Andrew and has trained with Cody over the past few weeks and said he “looks identical to him.”

“There was never any real risk of him not choosing the Blues,” Docherty said on 3AW Football.
