Sam Gilbert has surgery on hand

St Kilda veteran Sam Gilbert is expected to miss a month of football.

The Saints confirmed on Saturday the versatile utility had surgery on a broken hand he hurt in Friday night’s loss to Essendon.

Injury update – Sam Gilbert had surgery on his hand this morning following last night’s game. Will likely miss three to four weeks.
