Sam Newman and Neil Mitchell have joined a growing list of people who are uncomfortable with the timing of a TV drama about Shane Warne’s life.

It comes after Warne’s eldest daughter, Brooke, slammed “beyond disrespectful” plans to create a two-part miniseries about the iconic Victorian.

Speaking on 3AW, Newman, a great mate of Warne’s, said it was too soon.

“Of course it is,” he said.

“But if we are having a discussion about the integrity, or the morals, or the ethics of the media at large, that would be a very short discussion.

“Mind you, at some stage, it’s probably going to happen, but of course it’s too early.”

Neil Mitchell agreed.

“My view? It is too early,” he said.

“But it will be watched, and it’s a commercial decision and it will be watched.

“I would just rather it isn’t being done, for the sake of his family.”
