Sam Newman “bemused” by reaction to THAT speech

Sam Newman says he’s “bemused” by the reaction to his farewell speech (of sorts) on The Footy Show last night.

However, his future still remains unclear.

Newman was given the opportunity to speak on Thursday, telling the audience he would not continue on the show on the “off chance” it was the final show.

“I’m really bemused by the fact anyone could misunderstand or misconstrue what I said,”

“I don’t think you could say it in any plainer English.”

Neil Mitchell then asked him some questions.

Neil: “Will The Footy Show be there next year?”

Sam: “I have no idea and that was the basis of what I said last night.”

Neil: “If The Footy Show is there, will you be on it?”

Sam: “I have no idea and that was the basis of what I said last night.”
