Article image for Samsung spends millions on airport kiosks for recalled Galaxy Note 7

Samsung is spending millions of dollars on phone collection kiosks at airports, for owners of the troubled Galaxy Note 7.

Travellers can hand in their devices, which have been banned from flights because they could catch fire.

Choice’s Tom Godfrey says it’s the least the tech giant can do, to save face with customers.

‘There’s no doubt that consumers have been let down by Samsung.’

‘People are being left with frustration, confusion and let’s hope no one dies as a result of one of these potentially dangerous smart phones failing’ he tells 3AW News.
