‘Sanctions must flow’: Player manager calls for action after Tom Papley investigation

Sydney Swans player Tom Papley allegedly returned a positive preliminary drug test after being pulled over by police on Monday.

Long-time player manager Peter Jess told 3AW Mornings host Tom Elliott now was the time for the league to make a statement.

“What needs to happen is a statement from both the AFL and the AFLPA that driving around in a car with illegal substances that affect your judgment is completely wrong. No ifs, buts or maybes,” he said.
