Scientists has discovered a gene they believe is responsible for grey hair.

It’s called the IRF4 gene and it could spell the end of greying in the future.

But Dr Dennis McNevin said the benefits could be much more substantial than improving self-esteem.

‘The ability to tell what someone looks like from their DNA provides valuable intelligence to police investigators,’ Dr McNevin said.
