Last Monday, Sam ‘Scoop’ McClure told Sports Today Hawthorn is open to replacing triple-Premiership captain Luke Hodge.

Lo and behold, Hawk leader Jordan Lewis has sent a strong hint that that might eventuate.

‘When the time is right, Hodgey will understand that he’s not going to be around forever,’ Lewis said on Wednesday.

‘In a funny sort of way Jarryd Roughead and I lead anyway.’
