Scott Haywood says young people are spending too much money on things they don’t need

Young people seem to be making more terrible financial decisions than in the past. 

Tom Elliott spoke with Scott Haywood about the ‘Dumb financial decisions’ young people seem to make.

Scott refers to young people living at home with minimal financial worry as ‘Kidults’.

‘They never really learn about money or money management until they move out of home.’

‘They can get a credit card and jump on a plane to Bali tomorrow.’

‘When I left home at 18, no one had a credit card’ says Tom.

Scott blames the internet for ease and increase in expenditure among young people.
