Scott Morrison ‘disappointed’ by controversial response to Paris attacks by Australia’s Grand Mufti
Federal Treasurer Scott Morrison has joined a growing chorus of voices calling on Australia’s Grand Mufti to ‘clarify’ his controversial response to the terror attacks in Paris.
Dr Ibrahim Abu Mohammed has come under attack over this statement in the wake of the attacks that killed 132 people.
It’s been suggested he ‘blamed’ the victims for what happened.
Mr Morrison told Neil Mitchell the Grand Mufti had ‘let down’ Australia’s Muslim community.
‘I would encourage him to come out and clarify what his statement said,’ Mr Morrison told 3AW Mornings.
‘I was very disappointed for Australian Muslims yesterday.
‘I thought Australian Muslims were let down by the Mufti.’
