Scott West pays credit to ’empathetic’ Luke Beveridge for Dogs’ success
Bulldog legend Scott West has paid credit to Luke Beveridge for bringing the club success.
The Dogs haven’t appeared in a Grand Final since 1961, but Beveridge has engineered a return to the top for the sons of the west since his appointment at the end of 2014.
West told 3AW Breakfast Beveridge builds relationships with everyone involved at a club, from players to fans, and everyone in between.
‘There’s an art in coaching. He coaches with a great empathy,’ West said.
‘Not everyone can be a great player. You’re going to make mistakes, and he acknowledges that.’
West played 324 games for the Bulldogs over 16 seasons.
