Police have released an image of a man wanted over a series of attempted carjackings at Morwell last Monday.

During one of the incidents, an offender tried to stab a pizza delivery driver.

In another attempted carjacking, a 20-year-old man and female passenger were flagged down by a man standing in the middle of Churchill Road. When they stopped, a second man tried to open the passenger side door.

Fifteen minutes later, a 25-year-old man was approached outside a fast food outlet by two men asking for a lift. When he refused, one man pulled out a knife and told him to hand over his keys.

The victim managed to fend them off with a screwdriver he grabbed from his vehicle.

Both carjackers are perceived to be Caucasian and aged in their late teens to early 20s.

One was about 177cm tall, wearing a black hoodie, sunglasses and black tracksuit pants. The other had a slim build and was wearing all black.
