Search for man after teen stabbed on a Dandenong bus

Police are calling for help to identify a man after a teenager was stabbed on a Dandenong bus.

The man boarded the bus in Doveton at about 4pm on October 28 and got into a verbal altercation with school-aged children.

A 17-year-old boy then boarded the bus with a friend in Dandenong and the man and teenager’s friend got into a physical altercation.

The teen attempted to stop the fight and was stabbed by the man, who then fled on foot towards Dandenong Plaza.

The 17-year-old was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Investigators have released images of a man they believe can assist with their enquiries.

The offender is described as Caucasian in appearance, 170cm tall and approximately 30-years-old, with dark hair and a small tribal-like star on the back of his left hand.
