Search for scooter duo after hit-run on Laverton Creek Trail

A cyclist has been seriously injured in a hit-run collision in Altona Meadows.

An unregistered scooter collided with a 51-year-old cyclist on the Laverton Creek Trail near Victoria Street at about 6.30pm last night.

Police have been told the two men riding the scooter didn’t stop at the scene and ran from the crash on foot.

The cyclist was taken to hospital with serious injuries.

Investigators have released images of a silver SYM brand scooper, a red and black helmet and a silver chain necklace left behind at the scene.
