Search for woman who fell off cruise ship

A Pacific Dawn Cruise ship travelling off the coast of New Caledonia has turned around after a female passenger was seen going overboard.

P&O Cruises have confirmed the incident, which came to light on 3AW Drive.

It’s believed a crew member notified the bridge straight away and the ‘man overboard’ protocol response was activated immediately.

Search and rescue authorities were also notified.

P&O say their thoughts are with the guest and her family at this time.
