Search underway for missing man after Murray River boat capsize

A man is feared dead after falling from a boat during a bucks party at Mildura.

Search and rescue teams spent Sunday searching the Murray River after a man fell overboard, but failed to find the 34-year-old, who had been celebrating with friends on a houseboat.

He stepped off into a dingy with three others on Sunday afternoon.

The boat capsized sending all four men into the water. Three men returned, but the missing man failed to resurface.

Police from NSW and Victoria are assisting in the search.

It’s believed alcohol was a factor.

Police divers will start scouring the river this morning.
