Secure changeroom at hospital broken into
Questions are being raised as to how cash, private belongings and credit cards were stolen from a secure changeroom at a hospital in Melbourne’s north-west.
Gary told Neil Mitchell his wife, who works as a nurse at the private day procedure centre, was one of the victims.
Luckily she only lost $75 and credit cards, while one colleague had $600 stolen.
‘During the course of the day, the day before yesterday, it appears the staff changerooms have been ransacked and their personal belongings removed,’ he said.
‘Parents are invited into the locked changeroom in order to get changed into scrubs so they can accompany their children into theatre.’
The room is only accessed by a swipe card.
It’s believed a number of credit cards stolen were used at a nearby supermarket.
