Self defence gym sees BIG increase in teenage inquires after concerning crime spike

A Moorabbin-based self defence gym has seen a BIG increase in inquiries from teenagers since multiple high profile violent incidents in Melbourne recently.

Owner and operator of Krav Maga Australia, Dave Friedman, says his gym is in close proximity to Glen Eira College, where the 14-year-old was abducted and suffered life-altering injuries.

Mr Friedman says it’s a “sad reflection on society” that so many teenagers feel the need to protect themselves from criminals in their area.
