Senior constable under investigation over potential misuse of police residence

A senior constable at Victoria Police is being investigated for the potential misuse of a police residence in Victoria’s Western Region.

The 3AW Breakfast Rumour File has been told a police member had been removed temporarily from duty from a police station in regional Victoria after it was discovered he was sub-letting his police residence.

Victoria Police confirm detectives from Professional Standards Command are currently investigating a matter relating to the use of the police residence in Western Region.

‘A senior constable has been interviewed in relation to this,’ Senior Constable Adam West said.

‘No charges have been laid at this time, however.

‘As the investigation is ongoing, it would be inappropriate to comment further.’
