Senior intern competition gives older Aussies the chance to learn + travel for free

A travel company is offering Australians aged 60+ the chance to win the internship of their dreams.

Luxury Escapes’ Senior Intern Competition sees ten winners flown to Melbourne to undertake training with travel experts, before a final winner is selected who will travel to California and Los Cabos to test out their newfound skills.

The 2016 winner Jenny McCarthy told Ross and John there were more than 5000 applicants nation-wide in her year.

“We did the training then they let us loose in Bali for a week,” she said.

“We did have to learn about social media, we had to do four social media posts a day and learn how to take good photos.

“We wrote about six articles for inclusion in their online newsletter.

“It was just amazing!”
