A prominent Serbian tennis reporter has commented on the controversy surrounding Novak Djokovic and Channel 9 sports presenter Tony Jones.

Tony Jones apologised for off-the-cuff disparaging remarks made during Friday night’s news bulletin, which saw the 24-time Grand Slam champion boycott an on-court interview on Sunday night.

Sasa Osmo, who is in Melbourne covering the Australian Open, told Jacqui Felgate he expected Djokovic to accept the apology and move on.

“Novak has never been one to hold a grudge,” he said on 3AW.

“I think things to resume as normal after a couple of days.”
