‘Serious concern’ as a third consecutive La Niña declared
A meteorologist says flooding is a “serious concern” as eastern Australia heads into a third consecutive La Niña.
The Bureau of Meteorology yesterday declared a La Niña event in the Pacific Ocean and eastern Australia.
“Having three in a row, the landscape is already wet at the start of this La Niña event. That’s why we’re so concerned about flooding in particular,” Sky News meteorologist Rob Sharp told Neil Mitchell.
