Serious hit and run in Melbourne’s west leaves 17-year-old passenger with life-threatening injuries

Police are investigating a hit-run collision in Melbourne’s west after a Honda sedan crossed several lanes of the Western Ring Road at St Albans between Ballarat Road and Furlong Road late last night.
Victoria Police media advisor Sam Bidey says the sedan crashed into a Great Wall SUV, leaving a 17-year-old occupant of the sedan with life-threatening injuries.
“The driver and passenger of this Honda have done a runner on foot and left their rear passenger behind,” he told Ross and Russel.

The driver and passenger, both aged 20, were arrested shortly after and were taken to hospital under police guard.
