A man has been shot during an armed robbery in Springvale South.
The servo attendant at the 7-Eleven on Springvale Road was shot in the elbow the hold-up about 4.30am.
“He’s suffered a bullet wound, a terrible thing to undergo,” Inspector Michael Daly told Neil Mitchell.
The man, aged in his 40s, was taken to the Alfred hospital in a stable condition.

Police say the incident may be linked to an earlier armed robbery at a service station on Heatherton Road.
“The description does match and the proximity it’s definitely being treated as linked,” Inspector Michael Daly said.
