Servo car-jacking at Elwood, kids arrested in Healesville

Four teenagers are expected to be charged over the theft of a car at Elwood this morning.

Police were called to a service station on Marine Parade just before 1am when Broadmeadows man, 37, alleged his car had been stolen at knife-point.

He told officers he believed three boys and a girl were involved.

About two hours later, four teenagers were arrested at Healesville.

Ross and John asked how they were picked up so quickly.

“Brilliant detective work,” was the response from police.

A boy from Ashwood, 14, two 15-year-old boys from Altona Meadows and Elsternwick, and girl, 16, from Werribee are expected to charged with offences including theft of a motor car.

They’re currently being questioned.
