The SES has responded to those who abused their volunteers during Thursday’s storm.

Hundreds of volunteers were deployed as heavy rain has caused havoc across Victoria on Thursday, but Duty Officer Jarrod Bell says a number of people made life very difficult.

Mr Bell told Mark Hawthorn some people didn’t understand how serious the situation was.

‘Our guys copped it,’ he said.

‘It was not good enough.

‘To get that sort of reaction is quite disheartening.’

Mark said there are some ‘morons’ out there.
