‘Set an example’: The blunt call to action as Victoria’s knife crime crisis persists

Sly of the Underworld has offered up a blunt plea to the state government amid reports of continued knife violence in Victoria.

Speaking on 3AW Breakfast, the crime reporter said, “now the government’s brought in adult time for adult crime, but in reality, the courts will always take into account the age of the alleged offenders”.

“But perhaps we’ve come to the point where it’s not the individual rights of those accused, but the rights of the general public,” he added.

“Perhaps we should seriously look at a crime like this, where life means life.”
