Severe storms to lash Melbourne’s west

A severe weather warning has been issued for Geelong and Melbourne’s west.

The Bellarine Peninsula is also expected to be hit by the storms.

The bureau said damaging winds, heavy rainfall that may lead to flash flooding and large hailstones were likely.

The front is heading south and should be on Bass Strait by mid-Wednesday evening.
