Sex claims are false, top cop tells Neil Mitchell

Victoria Police has rejected claims a senior contracted officer will not have his contract renewed because of allegations of sexual harassment. 

Taskforce Salas, set up to investigate such claims, has 36 investigations underway.

A report to be released later this month is expected to reveal cases of harassment, abuse and cover-ups.

While confirming a non-commissioned officer is still employed despite allegations he raped a fellow officer,  assistant commissioner Brett Guerin has told Neil Mitchell the report in the Herald Sun about a senior contracted officer, is false.
