Star Fremantle recruit Shai Bolton has been “read the riot act” multiple times this season, according to Brad Hardie.

Bolton arrived at the Dockers amid plenty of hype, but has so far failed to impress as his club’s campaign falters.

Hardie said on 3AW Football he’d be told Fremantle’s marquee recruit has been called for his lack of standards.

“A couple of times he’s been called in and read the riot act about how to conduct himself (considering) he’s on big money and a leader,” he said on 3AW.

“Justin (Longmuir) on three occasions this year has already said we’re a little bit soft.”
