Shane McInnes says Western Australia should be “cut off” from the sporting world, after WA Premier Mark McGowan announced the border will not open until 90 per cent of the population is fully vaccinated.

That’s predicted to be late January at the very earliest.

“WA will remain the only state where sports teams will have to quarantine in order to play,” Shane said on 3AW Sportsday.

“This may sound harsh, but surely the time has come to cut off WA.

“Why should east coast based NBL, AFLW, A-League and Big Bash teams all be forced to quarantine because Mark McGowan won’t fall into line with the rest of the country.”
