Shaun Higgins hits back at GWS’ CEO whack

North Melbourne star Shaun Higgins has hit back at a jibe from GWS’ CEO.

Giants chief Dave Matthews said on Friday that North would have a tough time trading for young gun Josh Kelly because GWS doesn’t want any of their players.

Kelly has reportedly been offered a nine-year deal by the Kangaroos. 

Shaun Higgins said he wasn’t paying much attention to Matthews.

‘I’m not going to read into it too much about players from our footy club.’ Higgins told 3AW Football on Sunday.

‘I’m pretty confident we’ve got a lot of talent on our list.’

Higgins said it was ‘exciting and pleasing’ to get the team’s first win of the season on Saturday night.
