‘Sheer madness’: Jeff Kennett and David Littleproud clash over the Coalition’s future supermarket policy
Former Victorian Premier Jeff Kennett and Federal Nationals leader David Littleproud have engaged in a war of words over the Coalition’s future supermarket policy.
A future federal Coalition government would introduce “divestiture” powers which could force businesses to break up if they abuse their market power, and Littleproud took aim at Kennett while explaining the policy.
“He has a vested interest, he is employed by Coles to mark their own homework,” Littleproud said.
