Shepparton to enter snap seven-day lockdown

The town of Shepparton in the state’s north will return to lockdown at 11.59pm.

Restrictions will be the same as those in metropolitan Melbourne, except for the curfew which will not apply.

It comes after a rise in cases in the Greater Shepparton area in recent days.

There are currently 24 active cases in the town.
