Former colleagues and Channel Nine executives have spoken out against former TV host Don Burke amid shocking sexual harassment allegations.

Several women have spoken out against the Burke’s Backyard host in joint Fairfax Media-ABC investigation, detailing incidents in which Burke indecently assaulted, sexually harassed and bullied female employees.

Those who worked with Mr Burke described him as a “psychotic bully” and a “misogynist”.

Former researcher Louise Langdon told Fairfax Media that on one occasion Burke decided it was OK to pull on her bra and try to take her top off.

Former network bosses have described him as a “horrible, horrible man” (David Leckie) and a “disgrace”, and a “terrible grub” (Sam Chisholm).

When asked if anyone ever came to him to complain Mr Chisholm told the Sydney Morning Herald he didn’t know because it was a long time ago.

Burke has denied all the allegations.

Journalist Kate McClymont, who broke the story, told 3AW’s Ross and John she spoke with more than 50 people regarding the allegations.

And she expects more allegations to arise following today’s report.

“Already people have been contacting me. I think it’s going to be a long day.”
