Shop attendant fights off gun-wielding intruders with broom

Police are on the hunt for two men following an attempted armed robbery at a Bundoora milk bar last Friday.

Investigators have been told the men, armed with a handgun and carrying a pink shopping bag, walked from Grimshaw Street through a laneway to the Balaka Place store at about 9.30pm.

They threatened staff before running away empty-handed.

A store attendant had armed themselves with a broom.

The men were last seen running north across Grimshaw Street towards Cameron Parade.

Mill Park Serious Crime Taskforce detectives have released images of two men they believe may be able to assist with their investigation.
