Shoppers increasingly frustrated with supermarkets and self-serve checkouts
A poll has found shoppers are growing increasingly unhappy with self-serve checkouts prompting questions if it’s time to get rid of them.
National secretary of the Shop, Distributive and Allied Employees Association, Gerard Dwyer, says improvement in productivity aren’t reflected in pay packets.
“We need to rebalance, shareholders are important but they’re only one part of the equation, it’s employees that make the business work,” he told Tony Moclair.
