Should we get PSOs on trains?

PSOs are there to keep us safe when we catch public transport, but would they be better served travelling on the trains rather than being stuck on the station platforms? 

The Chelsea and Bonbeach Public Transport Safety Group is calling for our Protection Service Officers to be rostered on trains during the 24-hour public transport trial next year.

They say it will help with public safety, and prevent crime such as graffiti and vandalism.

And they’ve received some support from the Public Transport Users Association.
