Sister of Kmart worker shares concerning update on bashing

The sister of a Kmart employee working at the same store where a worker was bashed on Tuesday night has shared more concerning details on what happened.

3AW Mornings broke the story on Thursday’s show, with police confirming they were investigating what happened at the store in Reservoir.

Maddy told Tom Elliott her sister was not afraid to go back to work after witnessing the attack.

“(My sister) witnessed the attack and she said it’s not the first time it’s happened,” she said on 3AW.

“My sister is in a traumaised state and doesn’t want to go back to work.”

Kmart later confirmed to 3AW Mornings they were providing counselling to concerned employees following the incident.
