Sit Down Round: Country footy coaches and officials ordered to stay seated
Coaches and officials will have to stay seated and keep quiet during AFL Gippsland’s ‘Sit Down Round’ trial.
The trial for all competitive junior Gippsland matches is scheduled next weekend and comes after a previous trial in Adelaide.

It comes as part of a push to stamp out umpire abuse.
“I think the AFL is recognising that there’s two areas they have to try and improve on — one is umpire recruitment and retention and the other is junior recruitment and retention,” Latrobe Valley Umpires Association Secretary, Daniel Swallow, said.
